Abstract Photographers
These are abstract photographers we learnt about.
- Jaromir Funke is a czech photographer . He used patterns of shadows caused by the way caused by the way the light reflects and where shadows are placed. This results in good abstract pictures that created different shapes.
- Ernst Haas is a german photographer. He used light and reflections in the water with long shutter speed. The long exposure shots create a good abstract image.
Sebastian Magnani is a photographer that juxtaposed two items, a mirror and a grassy background or forest floor. These lead to good abstract images because the mirror creates a good effect of changed images.
Nick Albertson is a photographer that used repeated forms by using lots of the same items and composed them into an image, for example the photo there is of lots of rubber bands. You cannot tell what the item is because their are so many of them and it takes a while to figure it out.
Len Lye - Cut up film, scratched on it and made patterns and put the "experimental" film back together to create more interesting photos. He also made kinetic sculptures. He was born in New Zealand and lived in England and America. He used film to create "cameraless" images (making patterns with the film)
